I (somewhat) recently returned from the Mystic South Conference (July 19th-21st), and I had a blast! It was so much fun meeting other Pagans, attending workshops, and generally being in a spiritual space. Here were my biggest takeaways from Mystic South 2019:

Priestess of Aphrodite on Social Media!
Techno-witch I am certainly not, but I recently created a Facebook page and a Twitter account for Priestess of Aphrodite!
7 More Ways to Bring the Magickal into the Mundane
There is no definitive text for modern Pagan worship. While this is a wonderful and liberating thing, it can also leave practitioners at a loss for what to do next, how to go deeper into Pagan practice, or how to incorporate your spirituality into your everyday life. Here are some suggestions for how to make your average day just a bit more magickal:
An Empath All Along?
The short answer is: Iโve been an empath all along. The slightly longer answer is: Iโm a very weird kind of empath, so the traditional methods used to measure empathic abilities and traits donโt fit me well. The even longer answer is: the rest of this blog post.
Devotions to Aphrodite: Pole Dancing
Spinning around the pole, moving my hips, and landing a trick all felt like a corporeal prayer, a body-song of worship. There was energy raised and lowered on the pole. I learned new things about my body and my being. I knew the closer I was to being the full expression of myself, the closer I would be to Aphrodite.
Spiritual Growing Pains (AKA Dealing With Your Shit)
If youโve been on a spiritual path for very long, you know that thereโs always baggage. Thereโs childhood trauma, past relationship pain, self-sabotage, the imposter syndrome, trust issues, betrayals, depression, anxiety, fears, and times you genuinely just fucked up. What We Label Ourselves
What we decide to call ourselves has immense power. In a spiritual sense, itโs the conscious act of putting yourself out there. Saying โIโm Paganโ has power to it. Saying โI am a witchโ has power to it. The Divine is listening and the Earth can hear - you may be surprised what comes your way when you make a spiritual declaration of this sort.
Flames of the Firebird
The winter that I started working with Cerridwyn, I also started to work with the energy of the Phoenix, the Firebird. I had some pretty extraordinary things happen once I started working with the Firebird, and they are some of the stories of how I know my Paganism is real.
Devotions to Aphrodite: Ecstatic Dance
Dance is a regular part of my spiritual practice. I mostly dance to commune with Aphrodite, connecting to the joy and love of movement. I will dance to raise energy. I will even dance to ground myself, which I know sounds counter-intuitive. If I feel angry or off-balance, dancing will help bring me back to center.
When Books Aren’t Enough
What do you do when books aren't enough? When you begin to experience things that no one has written about? What if your personal experience of a deity doesn't match the lore? Here are some suggestions for how to navigate your experiences.
