So, the world is still a bonkers place. COVID-19 isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. It’s taking its toll, mentally and physically, on me and everyone I know. I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to talk about self-care and how we can honor our needs during this turbulent time.
Beltane is my favorite holiday. Despite my love for all things related to this season, I found it very difficult to write the ritual that I performed online this morning for my Pagan group. It seems like an odd, almost inappropriate, time to be celebrating, given all that is going on the world. Our lives seem very far from the spirit of Beltane this year. Yet, this is why it is more important than ever to honor Beltane.
I feel like we could all use an energetic reset during these troubling and uncertain times. This cleansing meditation is a version of something I spontaneously wandered into during my last deep meditation with Aphrodite. It was so powerful for me that I wanted to share it. I also made a video for the guided meditation!
I’ve been wanting to write a post about my experience with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) for a while now, but I haven’t for several reasons: 1) It’s a very personal thing to share, 2) it is painful and anxiety-provoking to talk about, and 3) it never really fit in with the spiritual theme of the rest of my blog. However, now that we are literally facing a global pandemic - I figure it is as good of a time as any.
