I thought it would be nice to start off the new year with an affirmation:
I trust in my joy.
This should be the right dimensions to save as a phone background!
Do you currently trust in your joy? What is your relationship to joy and pleasure? Do you embrace joy or shy away from it? How does joy show up in your life? How does it impact the decisions you make and how you show up in the world?
Do you truly accept that you deserve joy? Because you do! Joy isn’t something that you have to earn. Joy is your birthright.
I truly believe the world would be a better place if we all spent more time in true joy – If joy was what fueled us and inspired us. Joy is so much more than just being happy. Joy is persistent. Joy is boundless. Joy is the singing of your soul.
What does your joy call you to? Maybe it’s trying out a new hobby that you keep telling yourself you don’t have time for. Maybe it is starting that business you always dreamed of, but were too afraid to take the leap. Maybe it is self-care. Maybe it is wanting to bake brownies or order a pizza. Maybe it’s letting go of some toxic relationships. Maybe it is wearing bright colors or doing something that is just ridiculous and fun!
Joy can be both big and small. Listen to how your joy calls to you – and answer it.
